You know your getting big when:

Several comments that I heard over the holiday weekend:

1.) I think it's time to go to plan B on that jacket. The zipper looks like it is pulling apart.
(Dad at lunch)

2.) I think that shirt shrunk a little since the last time you wore it.
(Scott with a huge stupid smile on his face while he played video games and I was dusting)

3.) Look at her belly hanging out! Well... it's got to come out sometime.
(Paula and Lindsay discussing my belly at Lay-Z-Boy like I wasn't even in the room)

Cucumber Christmas

Merry Christmas!

I know it's officially Christmas Eve but I don't plan on being on the computer until next week so I want to wish everyone that I won't see a Safe and Merry Christmas.

This is the last year for just Scott and I to be waking up by ourselves on Christmas. I love Scott dearly but I can't wait to have little Miss Cami in our lives. I know that it will make this time of year even more special.

Miss Cami is the size of a Cucumber this week. We are 26 weeks along. I was telling my Best Friend Laura that instead of just feeling little kicks or rolls I'm starting to fill a little bit of drag from her feet or hands for a couple of seconds. It's really neat but also very alien.

Again, Merry Christmas!!!

Pop goes the Rutabaga

In one week my stomach has seriously popped. I can't even try to suck it in anymore. I'm feeling super fat and not very happy about my appearance. I feel like I should be smaller than what I am but I just keep trying to remind myself that all women carry babies different and that the most important thing is that I've got a healthy baby growing in my tummy. It's hard to accept the weight gain since I've been on a diet for the last 3+ years but it is what it is. So today, I put on my most fitted top and I'm trying to embrace the belly. Oh, Miss Cami is a Rutabaga this week. I forgot to post it earlier for all of you who are following along in my babies growth as a veggy.

OMG... just got a call from Scott and he got his promotion!!!!!!! We are so excited for Daddy. It couldn't have come at a better time. We love you Scott. Congratulations!

Where is my Sofa Mama

Poor Hector!

We bought new living room furniture on 11/11. I know it was 11/11 because I bought it to celebrate that we are going to have a girl. Our old furniture was too big for the room so I down sized to two Lay-Z-boys recliners and a sofa to make room for all of the baby things. Well, the recliners were in stock so we got them right away. A couple days after I bought the furniture I listed my old on craigslist and sold it within a week. So, since the middle of Nov. we have had only two recliners. Well, Hector was a sofa boy. He liked to curl up with you under a blanket or sit on the top of the sofa and look out the window. He can't sit on my lap anymore because he ends up sitting on my belly. (Uncomfortable!) So, he's left with Scott or the empty chair. We are all so ready for the sofa. Only another 8 weeks to go!!!!

6 months

Here is Cami's current photo. Our appointment went really well yesterday. Her heart is looking perfect. She was not in the mood to get her picture taken yesterday. She kept putting her hands in front of her face and turning away from the camera. Bridget, our ultrasound tech, said that she thinks we are going to have a handful! I said "I know, I'm going to have to be on her all the time." Scott laughed and said "I'll tell her to be good until her mother leaves and then she can do what she wants." Scott's a softy!

We couldn't get her length because she was balled up most of the time but she does weigh-in at 1.7 pounds. We are preparing for a big girl. They did bump my due date to 4/2/09 which is what I thought it should be from the start. So, today is the start of our 6th month!!

Mango Mama

Cami is the size of a Mango this week! We go and see Dr. Campbell and Dr. Steele on Wednesday. We are getting an ultrasound at Dr. Campbell's to make sure Cami's heart is developing on schedule. So, hopefually we'll have some great pictures to show you all on Thursday.

Scott and I were lazy bums this weekend. It felt good to stay inside were it was warm and watch the big fat snowflakes fall. I did make cookies and wash the towels yesterday but that was the extent of my energy for Sunday. Now, we'll have to clean during the week. This isn't so bad because when the weekend shows up everything is done.

Happy Birthday Tom and David!

Today is my dads 60th Birthday and my father-in-law Davids 54th Birthday. Just a few word to say about each of these great men.

Daddy- I've always been sweet on my dad. He has taught me so many things in life. I think the biggest lesson he has ever tough me is to be honest. From an early age my dad could always tell if I was lying or not. All he would have to do is give me the Look or say "Stacey Weller" in the dad voice and I would cough up the goods. He has always been supportive, encouraging and someone I want to make proud. I hope I'm doing a good job. I can't wait for you to hold your first Granddaughter. I Love you!

David- My father-in-law is also a strong man. He puts everyone first. You don't even have to call him when you need extra help.. he just seem to be there ready to go. I've watched Scott and his Dads relationship grow stronger as the years go by and this make me smile because Scott is going to be a great father because of David. We love you!

It's funny that these two men were born on the same day. I guess there really is something special about Dec. 4th!

Happy Thanksgiving!

I'm happy to report that all went well when I dropped the bomb on my boss that I'm pregnant. I believe that it is the closest I have ever been to a heart attach. He ended up congratulating me. He did ask when I found out and I said the end of July... SHOCKED. Oh, and that I was having a girl. Shocked again! But in the end it was fine. So, I'm very thankful that its over.

I hope everyone had a happy blessed day.

Cami the Carrot

Cami is now the size of a carrot. But the more exciting news is that I have finally been able to feel the little gal move! I felt the first little "bump" on the 15th of Nov. but I wasn't sure that was it or something else going on down there. Well, now I feel her a couple of times a day. She is really active when I finally lay down for the night. Scott put his hand on my belly last night and thinks he felt a little something.

So, everyone pray for me tonight... I'm telling the boss about Cami tomorrow. I'll let you know if he jumps out of his window or not!!

Half Way There

Banana vs. Cantaloupe

Today, Cami is 20 weeks. We are half way there!! I look at two different web sites each week to learn about pregnancy that week. One has her the size of a Banana and the other is the size of a Cantaloupe. All I know is my little girl weighed more last week then what the average is at 20 weeks. I'm preparing myself for a big baby. :)

Good luck Laura! Today my very close friend Laura is going to the Dr. for her 12 week check up. (By the way, she's a plum today) Cami and I can't wait to find out if she is going to have a BFF or a Boyfriend. We won't be able to find out until Jan. and it's killing us!!

Loving Craigs List!!

I just sold my living room furniture on Craig's list in about 20 minutes . The lady is picking it up on Monday night. How awesome is that? Plus, if she doesn't work out I have 3 other people who are interested in buying it.

What's not awesome... going without a sofa for 10 weeks. Oh well, at least we have the new recliners!! The carpets are getting cleaned next Friday and hopefully the painter will be able to get to us soon.

I've got so much to do before this little girl gets her.

It's Already Started!

My mother, sister and aunt are already shopping for my little girl. Here is a funny story about an email I just got with a picture of this coat. My sister emailed me to tell me that they just bought this coat for next winter. I looked at it and thought "That's a cute coat for me" Only to start laughing out loud when I realized that it's not for me but for Ms. Cami!

Meet Camille!

First and foremost, our appointment went great with Dr. Campbell. Here is the story of how we found out it was a girl....

I was a ball of nerves when I walked into the appointment. I haven't felt the baby move and this scared me. The lady who took my weight (that amount will go unmentioned) asked if I had felt the baby yet. When I responded "No" she didn't say anything and just sat their staring at her paper for awhile. Well, this got me into downward spiral of crazy thoughts.

So, I walked into the ultrasound room. Bridget, the best ultrasound lady ever, told me to "wipe that face off my head. I'm going to have nothing but good news today." So, I got in position and away we went. Movement, heartbeat... thank the Lord! We then went on to do the usually checking out of the baby. The whole time Scott and I were saying "Look at HIS arm, Look at HIS Face." We got to the rump and Scott said "Is that the top of HIS head?" Bridget replied, "No, its the butt and your daughter is going to be pretty pissed off if you keep calling her a boy."

I looked at Scott and he had the biggest smile on his face. He wanted a girl! We are very happy to have a healthy baby girl in my belly. She is 6 inches long and is 11 oz. Bridget did tell us she has a big belly... Hello look at her parents!

We are going with Camille and will call her Cami. No idea on a middle so feel free to give me suggestions.

Giving In!!

Hello Everyone!

I have finally given in to the internet. You still won't find me on facebook or myspace but at least you can now keep up with me and the family.

Scott and I are going to see Dr. Campbell tomorrow to find out if our "peanut" is a boy or girl. I say boy... I'll update you all soon!
