Happy Retirement Papaw

I forgot to mention that my dad retired a couple of weeks ago. We are all so excited for him... plus a little worried. My dad is an extremely hard worker and likes to have lots of projects going on. Linds and I were a little worried that he might get bored but so far so good. My mom has been keeping him busy with plenty of "honey do" and he joined a gym.

The above pictures are of this past weekend when we went to the cabin. Mom, Dad, Cooper, Cami and I went to Nashville, IN. We was a nice day and we strolled around the town and ate lunch together. Both Coop and Cami were very good.

I want to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving!

Back from Reno

I got back from Reno on Tuesday around mid-night. I went into Cami's room and hugged her and kissed her sweet baby face. When I went to get her the next morning... may how my girl has grown. Her hair seemed a little darker and her hands are huge! She just put her hands on my face and smiled so big. It was the best feeling.

We head to the cabin this weekend to shut everything down for the winter. So, I will unpack and pack again for the weekend. Then I realize it's the week of Thanksgiving. I host thanksgiving so I've got TONS to do.

Here is so pics of little Miss last night after supper, and before and after bath time.

first day of work

Cami had to come with me to work today... for about a minute. Nana is taking her to get her flu shot although we don't think its going to happen. Nana and I think she has an ear infection. I've been pulling green goo out of her nose all weekend and we had a couple of tugs on the ear. No fever but I'll keep ya posted.

Ear infection -confirmed. I'm seeing tubes in our future. I had a major problem with ear infections so it looks like little miss is in the same boat. Dr. Waddles is going to be proactive with Cami so well see. Thank goodness she is pretty good with her ear infections. No fever or crying. She did get the flu shot because she wasn't running a fever.

I just want to post these Smiling pictures of Cami so that when her pictures come back from the photographer I can show her that Cami really does smile. That little rat didn't smile once on Sunday when we had pictures. Jessica Campbell, bless her, is coming over tomorrow night for another round of punishment. We are hoping to get at LEAST one smiling picture!

Southland Shout Out!

Just a quick shout out to my church, Southland Christian. Last week our pastor, John Weece, challenged us to pack 1,000,000 meals to feed hungry children around the world. The church asked for everyone to volunteer 2 hours of their time to help pack meal. If you felt like giving money to the cause great, if not that's fine to but they need our actual time to get this done. So, Scott and I put on our hair nets and packed meals after work for 2 hours last week. Our church packed 1,056,024 meals!

I'm happy to say that by giving our time we helped 5,000 children that are starving eat 1 meal a day. The same meal every day, 1 time a day for 1 year. (equals 1 cup of food a day) It sounds like so little but without this 1 meal they would not survive at all. The organization that Southland work with is called Save My Starving Children. It's a non-profit Christian organization. They are completely privately funded and do not work with any governments. Which means no government funding. It's pretty amazing what this organization has accomplished. Check them out online. http://www.fmsc.org/Page.aspx?pid=380

This link will take you to a video of what it looked like during one of the packing times.
