1 1/2 Years old

Today Cami is 1 1/2 years old. We are only 6 months away for 2 years old! Camille is a fun kid. She loves to play, will wrestle anyone, sing and is a chatter box depending on her mood. She is now starting to make extremely funny faces when she thinks something is strange, yucky or funny. My favorite face right now is her shocked face. It's big eyes and her mouth open very wide.

She is picking up new words everyday. He newest one is Thank you. I think only those of us who have been around her know that she is saying thank you but that's ok. The word she popped out the other day as clear as a bell was Popeye. Her and Scott have been bonding over Popeye cartoons the last couple of weeks.

Fall I think has finally come to the bluegrass. Cami wore jeans and a rain coat to school today. Just wanted to let you know that even in her jeans and a polo she looked better than that other girl at school today. :) Boo-yeah!

We have a monster on our hands

We have a monster on our hands and it's not Cami... it's Daddy! He has become a toy monster. We have so many toys I don't know what to do and he keeps bringing them home. I yell at him and now he hide them and give them to her when I'm not at home. I told him that I'm taking everything out of his wallet but his I.D.
Of course she is loving it and yes that is TWO toy boxes in the background!

My camera got hijacked!

Last Sunday Cami went to watch her cousin Jenna's soccer game while I got 3 hours to make chili, cornbread and PB cookies. I also cleaned the house and did a couple of load of laundry. Its crazy what you can accomplish when you don't have someone saying "mommy, mommy" every 2 minutes and dragging out toys you just picked up. :)
Here are two of the hijackers. Aunt Sissy and Laura
Hanging with Aunt Sissy and Nannie at the game
Aunt Mary was making sure she stays hydrated.
I put a water and a banana in her diaper bag for a snack. I later found out she had a capri sun and half a hot dog at the game. Hum...

Cami wasn't too happy with the Colts results~

Cami before school last Friday to get pumped for the UK game on Saturday. UK Won! The only problem is there is a girl in her class that has really cute clothes and came in with a full on UK outfit with matching hair bows. Plus today that same girl had on the cutest black dress to Cami t-shirt and jean shorts! Her mom has no idea but it's now "officially" on for best dressed!

Cami's pictures

Thanks to Jessica Campbell for taking Cami's picture. She put them up on her blog but they are kind of acting up at the moment. If you are facebook friends with me you can see them better there.

Soon, I will be putting together a coffee table book of all of Jessica's pictures of Cami over the last year. I'm really happy that I did this with Jessica because I'm the world worst at putting pictures in a photo book, scrapbooking (made to drive me insane) or updating the baby book. I figure that I'll have time to do all of this when Cami is in college!

Labor Day

Lindsay just sent me some pictures from Labor Day. It was a rough weekend for Cami who was not feeling so hot due to her allergies but you would never know!

Fat pumpkin

OK, so I haven't been too good at taking any pictures within the last week. So, you are getting one from the fair. I think its so funny that Gray can pick up Cami. She on the other hand no so amused.

Not much is going on this week. Cami got put a Allegara this week by her doctor so we are hoping that this will dry her up and stop all the coughing at night. I put myself on a diet last week and am doing pretty good. I also started back to Jazzercise and I'm really happy I did. It really does feel good to exercise. I'm about the size of the pumpkin in the background so it was way beyond time to do something about it. My goal is 40 pounds by the end of the year. I'll let you know at the end of this month how I'm doing. Maybe this will motivate me more!

Babies are easy

I can now say without a doubt that babies are easy. Toddlers are hard work. I had long talks this week with Cami teacher about her tantrums. Let me tell you, I don't think you've seen a tantrum until you have seen Cami Bowman in the heat of one. As her teacher told me today "that girl has endurance." She has been screaming for her blanket at school and last night Scott and I witness one of the worst fits I've ever seen. Scott looked at me and said, " Do you think she sick?" I said, "No, this is a full out tantrum." I tried to reason with her, give her options, ignore her. I'm just so confused on what to do. I've got advise coming out of my ears and everyone thinks that their opinion is the right one. But I came to work today after a 15 minute "conversation" with Cami's teacher feeling defeated. It's just a stage, it's just a stage, it's just a stage. I don't want you to think that I have this awful child that is out of control. 95% of the time its easy going but these tantrums that are starting to come out of her are leaving me at my wits end.
