Another week please

Is it me or does everyone need another week before Christmas. I'm really excited about Christmas this year because of Cami. She knows Santa although I'm not sure she really gets that in 5 days all of those gifts under the tree can actually be unwrapped and that there is some good stuff.

Saturday we celebrated Christmas with Scott's dads side of the family. We don't see them much but I have really grown to love his family. They are all wonderful people that are very loving.

On Sunday we headed over to Nana and Papaw Wellers to have a day of first. If you can imagine we can still have some first left. Enjoy the pics!
On a whim I decided I couldn't take it anymore and went and got Cami's hair cut. Just a little snip so that her "curls" would still be there. She refused to wear the cap so we had to get a haircut in our Dora sweatshirt.
She got to watch Little Bear and sit in the pink car~bonus
To all the mothers out there the Cookie Cutters in Hamburg is dirty! I was warned but Cami NEEDED a haircut. She is 3 months away from being 2-years old and this is her first haircut.
So, after that nasty dirty place Cami had to be scrubbed down. She got to have her first bath in Nana & Papaws tub- with the jets. She loved the bubbles. And yes, I am the mother that lets her kid have water up to her chin if she wants.

After all of that we made Christmas Candy. Mom and I made buckeyes. Cami sat at the table and watched. Mom and I were talking away and dipping the PB balls in chocolate when I looked over and little miss was sneaking her first buckeye (minus the chocolate). She loved it.

Sweetness

This is a holiday card preview. I just think she looks so sweet in these pictures.

I started the tradition of the gingerbread house this year (thanks sams club for the pre-made kit) and it went over well. Cami, Scott and I sat at the table together and worked on the house. A couple of things to remember next year. Read directions first and decorate before putting together. (Hey, I'm new at this) Also, I want to let everyone know that the picture of Scott and Cami was the only 30 seconds that the two of them worked on the house. I had to do the rest but hopefully Cami will be more help next year. She does like to look at it and say Mommy's house.

Santa

Cami really does like Santa. She talks about him all the time. Lights up whenever she sees a Santa on TV. Says "ho, ho, ho" etc. So, I was thinking that we would get a good picture but not so much.

Never make plans

So, one can never really make plans as a momma. Cami got sick and I needed to stay home with her so I had to cancel my weekend plans. This past weekend I was planning on going to Indiana to see Kristen Morgan who is on bed rest at the hospital keeping baby Max safe inside until he is ready to make his grand appearance sometime in Jan. I really wanted to see Kristen and give her my support. She is a beautiful women and will make the very best mother. She has a calming quality to her that is a true gift. Max has given her and her husband trouble throughout this pregnancy but I told Kirsten that I have a feeling he is going to be a very chill baby and motherhood will be a breeze. I was also going to see the other "cabin girls" and just catch-up on life. Kristen Bixler has a new house I was dying to see, I wanted to see Hilarys son Augie to see how much he has grown and if Cami was keeping up with him. I always love seeing Jessica because she brings so much spunk to the party. Jenny Reeves ooops I mean Jenny Moore has more patience that anyone I've ever met in my life. And I really wanted to hear about Jenny Tsao upcoming wedding and to hear her laugh which is always infections. Speaking of infections....

On Friday the 3rd I had a little out patient surgery on my bladder. Remember all those problems with my bladder when I had Cami, well I finally went and got it fixed up. So, after the surgery (which is a story all on its own) I was put on meds so that I wouldn't get an infection. Well after about a week on meds and not feeling so great Saturday night was the last straw for Scott. As I was shaking like a wet dog left out in the rain with a cherry red rash all over my body at 3:00 am he said I'm taking you to the ER. I said No because I didn't want to wake up Cami and take her out in the cold. So, I went back to bed. On Sunday Scott woke up and said if you are still this bad when I get back your going to the hospital. So, needless to say I went to the ER. Its never good when you have a doctor, nurse practitioner, nurse and some other people staying outside your door talking about how "interesting" your symptoms are. Anyway, I was this rushed to St. Joe main ( I was at the little ER clinic in Jessamine Co). I was the hospital for 2 nights. They thought I might have an infections disease that I picked up during surgery but it has been determined that I'm just really allergic to Sulfa drugs. I would normally not write all of this out but I know that a lot of you have been worried (thank you for your texts) and wanted to give you the story so I don't have to tell it over and over. I have to meet with infections diseases tomorrow to see if anything "grew" in my blood samples but I'm confident I don't have an infections disease and lets hope not since I'm at work today. :)
