Easter party

This past weekend at the cabin my sister made me make sugar cookies with her to decorate cupcakes for Cooper and Gray's school parties. We had enough left over that I too would take cupcakes to Cami's party. Well when I got to school another mother already signed up for cupcake. I got fruit~WTF! So I didn't want the cookies to go to waste so I brought cupcakes in a day early. The teacher gave me a questionable look but whatever.

And I do mean WHATEVER to her teacher right now. Cami has been learning to use the potty for a whole 12 days now and hasn't had an accident in over a week and she looks at me today and says "Are you working on pulling up & down her paints and underwear at home? Because I have 17 kids and she expects us to do it and its a real hassle." I must of had a hateful look on my face because she then says, "I mean she's doing great... its just that that is part of potty training too." I replied that my main focus has been on getting everything in the potty and not in the pants so I thought that would be less of a hassle. I said we will start working on it." Deep Breaths, Deep Breaths!

Cabin weekend

We spent a long weekend at the cabin. Cami got to spend lots of time with her cousins. They left on Saturday night and on Sunday morning the first thing she says to me is "I want to play with Grayson and Cooper." I said sorry honey but they left last night. She looked at me and said "how about papaw?"

She is so funny. Just getting her own personality and saying really funny, cute stuff all the time.

Oh, and no accidents since Wednesday!

Cabin time

Can you believe this picture is from late April last year! My how she has changed. And speaking of changes Cami had her 2-year check up this past week. She is a healthy girl. She is 50% for height and 68.9% for weight. Dr. W said that if she was 5 years old and had theses stats that she would say watch the junk food but since Cami is still a toddler and on whole milk she isn't worried. She did tell us to take the whole to skim. I think she will be fine with this but I think Scott is going to be heartbroken.

We are heading up to the cabin this weekend although it is not suppose to be nice. Even if we stay in side and watch cartoons all weekend it will be fun to just get out of town. Linds and the boys are coming up so this will insure that the nugget sleeps well!

Potty Update

Pretty successful weekend of potty training. 1 out of 3 #2's made it to the potty. This is where I think we'll have some issues. All #1's made it to potty except one time when I told here we where going to take a bath and she ran to the bathroom. I was cleaning up dinner and when I got to the bathroom she was in the tub in her panties and had an accident but thankfully it was in the tub so easy clean up for momma.

Say a prayer for Ms. April today as its her first day of potty training with Cami!

Pancakes & Sausage

Camille loves Pancakes & Sausage. I'm pretty sure she would have this for every meal. Some kids its chicken nuggets, other its mac & cheese but my girl is a breakfast girl.

To celebrate waking up with a dry diaper every morning this week and successfully using the potty when we wake up I treated her to McDonalds pancakes and sausage. I let her tell her order to the cashier at McDs and she said, "I want pancakes, sausage, milkshake please" as clear as a bell. The guy raised an eyebrow and I said make that a Milk. I'm not sure who has been giving her milkshakes but she has been asking for them a lot lately. Hum.. I think it might have something to do with the grandparents.

Happy Weekend Y'all!

Backseat Driver

I have a backseat driver! Cami likes to tell me "Green means go!" "Stop, Stop its Red!" I guess this would be Ok if it was every now and again but it's the entire time we are in the car every morning. She also likes to make me aware of every school bus and big truck on the road. If she hears a horn then we talk about "Why, beep, beep Momma?" for a good 10 minutes. When we get to UKs campus she points out that the kids are walking to school. Then when we get to daycare she says "We're here, I want out!" I think I've got a talker on my hands.

Wake up, Wake up

Have I ever mentioned that Cami is a bear in the mornings. The girl does not like to be woken up at all! She cries, puts her blanket or Pluto over her face or says "NO, NO, NO." For a while we have been sitting her on the potty when she wakes up. It's hit or miss. Sometimes she will do it and other time we have meltdowns. But with our "Potty Training Weekend" coming up I have been sitting her on the potty in the mornings no matter what. I really think I should get a job at the U.N. after this because I'm learning to be a master negotiator.
Yea, this is what kind of mood she normally wakes up in in the mornings. Fun times!

I tried to get a picture of her with her panties on but she wasn't going to show me. I told her that when she goes to the bathroom all the time that Mommy, Daddy, Nana and Nanny will all buy her Dora Underwear. This weekend we also have to go and by Cami a shoe rack. The above pictures are just the shoes she got for her birthday. There are about 25 pairs in her closet and another 10 or so pairs of shoes at my moms!!

Happy Birthday Cami

(she blew out her candle on the first try)

Cami turned 2 on Sunday. We had her Dora Birthday party on Saturday. It was a lot of fun and the food was good. Thank goodness for Qdoba!
(enjoying her favorite "Sam Salsa" with chips)

Cami got lots of great things and I think she had a wonderful time. After her party was over we went swimming with all my nieces and nephews. (Ethan and Addie are cousins but I think of them as more)

Then on Sunday we just hung out with our little girl and enjoyed her personality. Lots of PJ time and then I had to pack to go to Destin for a business trip early the next morning.

(She is figuring out if she's a white or chocolate gal)

(I was on only momma to get in the pool. My sister, mom, aunt and cousin watched from the sidelines with a glass of wine in their hands. Hum... who got the short end of the stick here?)

So, now that Cami is 2 and has moved into her new room at daycare we are fully starting the potty training. Well see how this goes. She pooped on the floor last night and peed on the floor this morning. Good times!
