No more Traveling!

Cross your fingers, cross you toes....

I do not have to travel again for work until Jan. 2012! I just got to cancel one of my pending business trips and the other one that is pending is hopefully not going to happen. Isn't that horrible for a sales girl to say but I'm a little over leaving the family right now.

My mom's 40th birthday is tomorrow (Sept. 23). You stop celebrating after 40-right? You all know I love my mom. She is a great mother but over the last 10 years has become one of my best friends. I love you P!

Conversation with a 2.5 year old

Conversations with kids are funny and something I truly enjoy. Camille is very chatty and if you ask her questions she'll talk your ear off or until the next episode of Wonder Pets comes on. This morning she was sitting on my bed in between all the pillows telling me it wasn't time to get up because it's still dark out and then the following conversation-

Cami: It's NOT time to get up momma, its still dark out. I'm still sleepy
Me: It is time. It's getting close to winter so it will start to be dark out in the mornings but will get lighter as we get closer to school
Cami: Winter? Winter, Snow, Santa bring me presents and baby Jesus birthday
Me: Yes that all happens in the winter. But you know what comes before Winter? Fall!
Cami: Fall? You hurt yourself momma?
Me: (I shake me head)
Cami: I eat turkey, goggle goggle. No mash 'tatoes
Me: You know what comes before Thanksgiving? Halloween!
Cami: I be a witch! No, I want to be nice. A fairy please

And on and on it went.

Happy Weekend! And Good Luck to my friend & cousin-in-law Kristyn today. We will have a new baby in the family and can't wait to meet her!!

I've been really busy lately but I haven't been able to spend much time with the family but when I do I try to make it really count. Family really is everything. I was just in Georgia this week and I'm off to Texas next. Every time I come home from a trip I seem to notice what I have taken for granted or over looked.

As soon as I walked in the door last night I went directly into Cami's room and we set down and read books for 20 minutes. I bought her a pack of new "girl" books and we set and read all six (pinkaloucious and fancy Nancy) and then read them all again before we went to bed. She didn't want to go to bed so she asked me if I would "Rock a little minute." It so cute, how could I say no. Then she just chatted her little heart out to me like best friends. I know that in 10-12 years she isn't going to want to talk to me so I'm trying to suck it all up as much as I can. Scott had to go back in and give her Pluto after I finished up and he was stuck in there for another 30-minutes getting chatted up. When he came back to bed I said, "I think she's got our number." He agreed and we snuggled talking about how much she has grown up and how our lives have been enhanced by this little girl.
